In the build-up to Ethiopia's New Year's Day on Friday, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has been shown on a film dressed up as a traffic policeman and handing out New Year's cards.
Ethiopians are continuing to comment on the video of Mr Abiy shared on Facebook by the state-affiliated Fana Broadcasting Corporate.
He can be seen laughing and joking with surprised motorists in a busy part of the capital, Addis Ababa.
There has been some criticism that Mr Abiy should prioritize other more pressing political and economic issues but many on Facebook are enjoying the fact that the prime minister is able to share a laugh with the people.
