The Asona Abusua of Akyem Moseaso, Asante Kasaam and Asante Juaben, on Sunday, September 13, 2020, lost their son, the first Presiding Bishop of Methodist Church Ghana, Most Reverend Dr Samuel Asante-Antwi to a short illness at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
The family mourns the sudden demised of their industrious son.
According to Abusuapanyin Bafuor Adu Kumah, the funeral rites will be announced in due course.
Most Reverend Dr Samuel Asante-Antwi was the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral, first Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana and Chairman of the National Disciplinary Committee of the New Patriotic Party.
He also held several prestigious roles over the years serving the nation, church, party and community.
Rev. Asante-Antwi died at age 83 leaving behind a wife, Mrs Comfort Asante-Antwi and children.
