President Akufo-Addo has announced the end of the double-track system for all SHS 1 and SHS 3 students nationwide.
According to him, the government has expanded infrastructure to accommodate all students.
Akufo-Addo who was speaking in his 21st COVID-19 update on Sunday, January 3, 2020 said: "All SHS 1 students will start classes from 10th March with all students going on a single track. SHS 2 and 3 students will, however, return to school from 18th January. The SHS 3 students like SHS 1 will no longer run the double-track system. The expansion of infrastructure has brought us to this favourable situation".
This means it is only SHS 2 students who will be on the double-track system when they reopen.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has also confirmed the reopening of schools for kindergarten, primary, and junior high students which will be on 15th January 2021 for both private and public schools.
"Our children must go to school…we are satisfied that in the current circumstances the reopening of our schools is safe...Prior to the reopening, all institutions private and public will be fumigated" he added.

Please, there is a typographical error in the last sentence of the post. The phrase in the president's statement is 'are fumigated' .
For many NDC folks politcs is do and die, because they don't have the competence aside the academic degrees and proficiency in the english language. Therefore, politic provide them the chance to cut corners to be successful in life. The attitude and demeanor of Sam George is symptomatic of such political animals and they abound in the NDC. That President-elect Akufo-Addo will not be acknowledged as President is a desperate wish of Sam George based on mere wishful-thinking and strong desire to get political power for the NDC by hook or crookk. Basing their desire to political power on thought through policies and programs like FHS is alien to the NDC's political temperament.
Im looking at the ''classroom architecture'' and the overcrowding in public schools. Is it time to open wider and deeper windows to improve ventilation? Is it time to run morning & afternoon shift systems to reduce class sizes?
It's really good for parents and the teachers, especially private schools because they don't get what government teachers get
