Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayensuano constituency, Samuel Ayeh-Paye, has commended the Inspector General of Police, COP George Akuffo Dampare and his Police officers for tightening security in the country.
Samuel Ayeh-Paye, speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' programme, noted that he's taken keen notice of the Police efforts to clamp down on armed robbers who have been terrorizing people on the streets.
In recent times, armed robbery has become rampant as people get ambushed and their money plundered from them, most times in broad daylight.
As a measure to arrest these criminals, there is currently a high presence of Police patrols at every nook and cranny.
Hon. Ayeh-Paye lauded the Police Service and the Akufo-Addo government saying, due to their hard work, "Ghana has moved from the sixth peaceful country to the second most peaceful country in Africa".
