Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency in the Ashanti region, Francis Asenso-Boakye on Tuesday, February 14 celebrated Valentine’s Day with the students of Kumasi Girls Senior High School.
The astute lawmaker used the occasion to advise the students that Valentine’s Day is not about romance as misconstrued lately.
“I spent my Valentine’s Day morning with students of Kumasi Girls Senior High School (KUGIS) at Abrepo, in the Bantama Constituency”, he posted on Facebook.
He added; “I reminded them that the ‘Love’ associated with Valentine’s Day is not about romance, as has been misconstrued lately, but represents important core values of compassion, gratitude, honesty, faithfulness and kindness.
Mr Asenso-Boakye who is also the Housing Minister used the opportunity to encourage the students to productively use the internet, and be mindful of the possible dangers and negative impact of social media so that it will not ruin their future.
