The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has reacted to concerns raised by renowned journalist and host of Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, Kwami Sefa Kayi.
Chairman General as he is popularly called expressed his disappointment after the Commission set ablaze cannabis estimated to be worth GH¢50million.
He recalled how some countries are benefitting from cannabis insisting the GH¢50million would have helped the nation, especially in the midst of current economic challenges.
However, on Monday's edition of the morning show on Peace FM, the acting Director of Public Relations at NACOC, Francis Opoku Amoah gave reasons for the destruction insisting the possession and usage of 'wee' as it is also called is still illegal in the country.
