The National Service Authority has deployed 106,223 service persons to undertake their mandatory national service for the 2024/2025 service year.
The service persons who have been deployed comprised the 2024 batch of graduates from all accredited universities in Ghana, Ghanaians who have completed studies abroad, defaulters, and private applicants who registered for national service.
The Director-General of the Authority, Osei Assibey Antwi, who made this known on Friday (September 6), said the validation process for this years national service would take place at all the regional centres across the country on Thursday, September 12, while service would begin on Tuesday, October 1.
"The authority reminds all deployed personnel that reposting is not permitted and urges all national service personnel to embrace their postings as a vital part of their responsibilities and contribute to national development," he said in a statement.
He urged all deployed service personnel to undergo the validation and registration procedure by checking their placements on the authority's website, printing the appointment letter, booking an appointment for registration, and completing registration at a regional registration centre.
