President John Evans Atta Mills on Sunday confirmed that he would be in Cote dIvoire to witness the investiture of Ivorian President Elect Allasane Ouattara, to be held on May 21, 2011.

He therefore asked the religious community to continue to pray for peace to be restored ultimately to that country. President Mills made the remarks when he joined the congregation of the Word Miracle Bible Church at its Headquarters at Dzorwulu, Accra, for the Sunday service.

He thanked the Church for its role in prayers for the national peace and hosting a number of people from the neighbouring nation, with prayer support in the time of strong crisis following stalemate in the last Ivorian polls.

Describing himself as a member of the Church and with a plus for the leader Bishop Charles Agyin-Asare for his prayer support when he (President) was the Vice President, President Mills said the Bishop was one of the people who moulded him and brought him up for the Presidency.

President Mills acknowledged the divine power in the political affairs, saying; those in leadership positions had no power if that power did not come from God.

The President explained that success in governance was based on Gods favour. That favour, he said, when granted a nation, would not discriminate among political parties. President Mills expressed the hope that Ivoirians would enjoy some comfort after going through tough times in the aftermath of the November polls, and assured them of continued prayers for the restoration of peace in Cote dIvoire.

Prez Mills & Bishop Agyin Asare
Bishop Agyin Asare, in a lesson on; Angels in Ministrations, invoked Gods blessings for angels to minister on the congregants at the points of need, set them out of prison and bondage and break any chains that limited their successes.

He advised Christians to submit to authority since God Himself placed people in positions of authority.

However, that submission should be within Gods approval, he said, and that it was better to obey God when demands from authorities went contrary to the word of God. Bishop Agyin-Asare prayed for the congregants to come out of obscurity and let the light of God shine on them to fulfill their God-given destiny.

The congregation sang excitedly in praise of God, waving handkerchiefs as they invoked the heavens to carry them through lifes journey.
