The General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church, (ICGC) Dr. Mensa Otabil has bemoaned the spate at which immorality and sin keep growing in the country despite the astronomical increase in the country’s Christian population.
The media in recent days has been inundated with reports of pastors and church leaders committing one despicable act or the other.
Dr. Otabil is worried that the growing numbers in the Christian population is completely at variance with the growth of morality and decency in our society.
He was speaking at the second day of the Love Revolution Conference currently ongoing at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre.
Dr. Otabil admonished Christians in the country to let their light shine, stressing that that was the only way believers could convince the world to believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
“…It’s not just about preaching the word and operating in the miraculous, it’s more about living the life and principles of Christ.” He said.
Delivering one of his usual practical teachings on the topic: The transforming power of Love, the respected preacher and statesman called on the body of Christ to embrace pastor Eastwood’s call for a Love Revolution by showing love and respect to one another, and more importantly, using their lives to mirror the teachings of Christ - love, unity, hard work and excellence.
The three day event which took off on Wednesday, June 8 is being organized by Eastwood Anaba Ministeries on the theme “Let Brotherly Love Continue.”
