More than seven million Jehovah’s Witness will gather in various cities and towns across the world from August 2, 2013, to begin the 2013 district conventions.
The theme for the convention “GOD’S WORD IS THE TRUTH” – has been described by convention organizers as timely, especially as many people face anxiety over the uncertainties of life, unemployment, high crime rate and injustice.
The conventions will underscore and provide biblical support to promote strong family life, personal bible studies and the need to avoid pursuit of wealth, attention and prominence and rather focus on building a strong relationship with God something salvation is dependent on.
The need for guidance is crucial in today’s World now more than ever; for parents and young people alike.
In all, there will be 86 conventions to be held in English, Ga, Ewe, Damgbe, Twi and six American sign languages to allow people of all walks of life to have access to the truth. The Accra Assembly Hall alone will host more than 40,000 people.
The Watchtower convention organizers are optimistic many more who do not even share in their belief will be attracted to the events.
