The ISO 26000 are International Standards which have been adopted by Ghana into GS ISO 26000: 2011 and is being inculcate into our society.

It is a document which provides the principle on which every good social responsibility can be based. It aims to be a first step in helping all types of organization in both the public and private sectors to consider implementing ISO 26000 as a way to achieve the benefits of operating in a socially responsible manner.

Mr. Joseph Emmanuel Allotey Pappoe, Chairman of the CSRFG signed on behalf of CSR Foundation of Ghana and Dr. George Crenstil, Executive Director of GSB, signed on behalf of the Ghana Standards.

In his welcoming address, Mr. Joseph Emmanuel Allotey Pappoe said the signing of the MoU follows the first national conference on Corporate Social Responsibility which CSR foundation Ghana organized last year during which they learnt about the ISO 26 000 which provides the principles on which every good social responsibility programme should be based.

CSR Foundation Ghana is for Advocacy on corporate social responsibilities and naturally, the starting point will be to focus on National standards that has been established and the benefits we will derive is to take these standards and try to conscientize organizations or make them aware of these standards which they may incorporate into their business policiesSo that is the benefit that we will derive that the community of businesses will become aware of global standards in the area of corporate social responsibilities Mr. Pappoe said.

Dr. George Crenstil agreed with Mr. Pappoe and added that the Ghana Standard Authority will do all they can to collaborate with CSRFG to infiltrate the society with social responsibilities.
