Police Chief Inspector Ben Asiamah, in-charge of the Golokwati Station who was attacked by a suspect he was to arrest at Logba in the Hohoe Municipality, passed away on Tuesday.
A police source told the GNA that the deceased was found dead in a sitting posture in his sofa in his room after co-tenants had forced his door open.
In July, a suspect he was detailed to arrest struck him on the forehead, a blow that sent him to the ground unconscious.
He was revived and sent to the Hohoe Hospital but his condition deteriorated and this compelled family members to send him to a prayer camp where his condition improved.
But tragedy struck him again when lightening struck him while he was having his bath.
