Peacefm News can reliably confirm that fire has gutted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building in Accra.
Reports say the blaze which had destroyed a substantial part of the multi-storey building was too huge to be extinguished by workers at the ministry.
The Ghana National Fire Service were on hand to quench the blaze as at the time of the announcement by PEACEFM, but reports say the firemen were having difficulties.
It is unclear what started the fire but eye witnesses say no human casualty had been recorded.
It would be recalled that in the early part of this year, some offices of the Information Ministry were also engulfed by a fire outbreak which destroyed equipment and several other properties worth millions of cedis.
