A Kumasi Circuit Court has fined 11 hawkers a total GH2,000 for flouting the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly's (KMA) by-law which forbids trading along pavements.
They were ordered to pay between GH100 and GH200 or in default serve one month in jail.
They all pleaded guilty to the offence.
The Court presided over by Mr Justice Adjei Frimpong directed the seizure of their wares until they settle the fine.
The Judge warned that future offenders would forfeit their goods which would be donated to charity.
