A 40-year-old woman has been knocked down by a 29-year-old motor rider, a statement issued by the Public Affairs Department of the Tema Regional Police Command has said.
The statement said the woman died on arrival at the Tema General Hospital and efforts to trace her relatives had proved futile.
It requested the public to assist the police to trace relatives of the deceased.
The statement said a gasoline generator suspected to have been stolen in possession of the police.
The Tema Regional Police Command said the owner of the generator should come and identify it for collection.
Also found by the police around the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority area, are an Identity Card bearing the name of Charles Enninful, and a wallet containing four identity cards, including an Electricity Company of Ghana pre-paid chip.
The owners of these items should come to the Regional Police Command for identification and collection, the statement added.
