Mr. Kempes Ofosuware, the Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive, has appealed to assembly members to work hard and come up with more innovative ideas in the coming year.
Mr Ofosuware, who was addressing the Second General Meeting of the Assembly in Tema on Tuesday, said 11 basic schools in the Metropolis had been provided with toilet facilities valued at GH�25211.66 to enhance the infrastructure development in public schools.
He told the house that some deplorable roads, including the Valco Round-about linking the Kpone main road and the entry point of the Kpone had been awarded on contract and work had started.
Mr Ofosuware said the Shamo Quaye Tournament (Inter-Community Tournament) had been re-launched and that he Stadium Re-Development Project would start in June.
Members of the Assembly presided over by Mr. Kinsley K. Appiah discussed issues concerning Education, Transportation, Sanitation and some deplorable roads in the Metropolis.
