The President of the Christian Mothers Association of the Saint Maurice Catholic Church at La in Accra, Mrs. Grace Nai-Korney, has observed that the school feeding programme has displaced mothers who sell in the school and this has woefully affected the financial position of the Association.

She therefore made a passionate appeal to government for relocation of the mothers to enable them to gain additional income to improve their financial standing and fulfil their commitments as mothers of the church.

Mrs. Nai-Korney was making a review of the year 2009 in an interview with the GNA at La in Accra.

The Association currently has 70 mothers in its fold. She advised young ladies who join the Association to be stable and contribute towards the advancement of its cause.

She said one major challenge facing the Association was finance because most of the women were not in active employment, and that this affects payment of dues, a situation which affects their ability to discharge their obligation to the entire district.

Mrs Naa-Korney said 20 women in small scale businesses have benefitted from the Association's loan financing scheme, which has enabled them to revamp their enterprises significantly.
