President Mills Rates Dan Lartey Very High

Two different delegations called on President John Evans Atta Mills at the castle, Osu, to officially announce the death of two prominent Ghanaian.

The Prominent Ghanaians are the late Dan Lartey, Founder of the (GCPP), and the Immediate past, President of the Ghana Catholic Bishops Conference, the late Most Rev. Archbishop Lucas Abadamloora; who is also Bishop of Bolgatanga - Navrongo Diocese.

The Dan Lartey family was led by Head of family, Mr. Samuel Acquah who presented two (2) Schnapps to the President as he officially informed him about Dan Lartey’s demise. Funeral arrangements were not announced.

On the part of Archbishop Abadamloora, the delegation was led by the Archbishop of Tamale, Most Rev. Philip Naameh.

Archbishop Naameh said the Funeral of the deceased would be performed on 15th and 16th January, 2010 at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Bolgatanga.

President J.E.A Mills in eulogizing the late Dan Lartey, said he was a man of perseverance, vision and with much political experience. He said government will honour him appropriately, when the time is due.
