Management of the NYEP has given the assurance that no beneficiary of the programme will be victimized on the basis of a beneficiary’s political affiliation.
In this regard, cases of alleged unfair dismissal of some beneficiaries of the programme will be considered by the national secretariat as null and void if they are confirmed to be true after investigation.
The Acting National Co-ordinator of the NYEP, Mr. Abuga Pele, announced these today at a Press Conference in Accra. He said the NYEP secretariat is seriously taking measures to clear all allowance in arrears to beneficiaries.
“Management of the NYEP will strictly enforce the 2-year tenure of the programme….The secretariat is taking measures to create employment opportunities for beneficiaries of the programme who will complete their 2-year tenure,” he stressed.
In line with this objective, Mr. Abuga Pele said "the NYEP secretariat is holding discussion with government agencies and the private sector on how beneficiaries of the NYEP could be absorbed by such government agencies and private companies after the 2-year tenure of the NYEP beneficiaries."
