Mr Yahaya Musah, Assembly Member for the Konimase electoral area in the Techiman Municipality, has appealed to the Municipal Assembly and the Urban Roads Department to provide speed ramps on the road leading to the slaughter house in Techiman, to minimize the pedestrians casualties by vehicles.
He said the high rate at which motorists speed on the road and knocking down traders and school children on a daily basis needed much attention.
Mr Musah told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview that school children and traders get knocked down by vehicles very often on that stretch of road, so the need to urgently construct speed ramps on it.
He commended the municipal assembly for rehabilitating the road and providing a drainage system and advised motorists to limit their speed and observe traffic regulations to protect the lives of pedestrians.
