Staff of the Golden Tulip hotel have vowed to continue with their sit down strike until management pays them GH400 each as bonus for last year. The workers of the prestigious hotel rejected an offer of GH250 proposed by management during a meeting with union leaders of the hotel.
The strike on Monday disrupted the smooth operation of the hotel. Union leaders and management could not resolve the issue after a meeting that lasted about five hours.
The unions secretary Emmanuel Hemans, however, tells Joy Business they will engage with management again Tuesday to find a resolution. We have decided to put into writing our observation and the request of staff to management for them to look at it and address it, he said.
