Twelve people arrested in connection with the disturbances in Tuobodom will be put before court Tuesday for their roles in the skirmishes in the Brong Ahafo Regional town.
Their arrest followed the unrest in the town last Friday which claimed three lives and injured many others. The clash was sparked by a protracted chieftaincy dispute between the Tuobodom chief, Nana Baffour Asare and his counterpart at Techiman, Oseadeeyo Akumfi Ameyaw.
The Tuobodom police have confirmed the arrest to Joy News adding that the 12 will be arraigned before court Tuesday. Correspondent Awudu Iddrisu reports that calm has return to the town after the shooting incident which provoked intense fear among residents.
The Tuobodom chief, Nana Baffour Asare, according to Iddrisu is currently in Kumasi conferring with the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
