Mr Larry Bimi, the Chairman of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), who passed away on Friday has been laid to rest according to Muslim tradition.
A family spokesperson had told the Ghana News Agency that Mr Bimi, a lawyer by profession, passed away at the Cardiothoracic Centre of the Korle Bu Teaching hospital on Friday night.
Scores of people from all walks of life went to his residence to mourn with his family.
He was head of the NCCE for about a decade.
