The Northern Regional Police Command has intercepted a cache of arms at Gushegu in the early hours of Friday September 23. According to Northern Regional Police PRO, Chief Inspector Ebenezer Tetteh, the arms were seized from two people on a motor bike believed to be of Fulani extraction.
One of them had an AK 47 rifle strapped around him and after they were stopped by a police constable on duty at the time they found out that more arms were tied to the bike.
The Policeman engaged them and prevented them from passing, forcing them into a ditch. The two assailants are currently on the run but the arms are currently in the custody of the Police.
