A team of military and police on Wednesday morning raided the Sahara slums within Adabraka in Accra and arrested over 20 residents for various crimes.
The swoop which lasted about an hour is the second of its kind.
Some residents who witnessed the operation told Citi News that “we were here and then all of a sudden we saw the police and the soldiers, we don’t know the reason why they came here. They took some people away in a big bus. ”
They added: “The reason why they did what they did I don’t know but I think what they did is normal. They usually come here. ”
