Lawrence Kwame Mawunyo, a 22-year-old footballer who allegedly threatened to stab his step-father for inciting his mother against him appeared before an Accra Circuit Court on Friday.
The accused who pleaded guilty to threatening death, explained that he acted out of anger.
Police Chief Inspector I.A.A. Ahor said the complainant, George Kudoadzi, is a security man and step-father of Mawunyo, live together with the accused and his mother in the same house at La.
He said the accused had a misunderstanding with his mother on February16, and suspecting that his step father had been inciting his mother against him, pulled a knife and threatened to stab the complainant.
Chief Inspector Ahor said the complainant fled the house and lodged a complaint with the Police at La where the accused was arrested and charged with the offence.
