A 37-year-old woman, believed to be a Nigerian, who allegedly killed her husband by stabbing him several times in the stomach has handed, herself to the Asawase police.
Rashida Yetunde is said to have stabbed her 42-year-old husband, Marouf Akinjobi, with a kitchen knife last Saturday, after a misunderstanding between them.
She hid the knife in a bush at Bowohoban junction, near Asokre Mampong, and led the police to retrieve it.
A source at the Asawase Police Station confirmed Rashida�s surrender but declined to give details of the misunderstanding since the case was still under investigations.
Neighbors of the couple however, told the Times that there had been frequent quarrels between them with each accusing the other of infidelity.
They said week to the fatal accident, Akinjobi subjected his wife to severe beating and at about 1:00am on last Saturday they heard some loud noisy argument between the couple which drew them to the house where they found the deceased lying with gushed intestines.
The woman was nowhere to be found and the neighbors took Akinjobi to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital but he died shortly on arrival
