Sources close to government has indicated that High Court Judges in Ghana are likely to see an upward adjustment in their salaries after Members of Parliament recently received an increase in their salaries from GhC 3,000 to GhC 7,200.
The High Court Judges are on the same salary level as the lawmakers and therefore an increment in the salaries of MPs suggests that High Court judges are also likely to experience same.
However, whether the new pay will take retrospective effect from January 2009 as that of the legislators still needs to be clarified.
