Monday, September 23, 2013, has been declared a public holiday, a release copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Friday said.
The release, signed by Mr Kwesi Ahwoi, Minister of the Interior, said Saturday. September 21, marked the the Birthday of Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, the first President of Ghana.
It said in view of the fact that September 21 falls on a Saturday; President Mahama has by the Executive Instrument declared Monday, September 23, as Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.
