A Former Chairman of the Bar Council of England and Wales, Desmond Brown, has challenged the National Media Commission, NMC, to assert its authority in enforcing professional ethics.
He said as a regulator, it is not immune to criticism of the media and public commentators.
He indicated that the public will always lament any failure of the Commission to intervene in the face of what are perceived to be violations of standards by the media.
Mr Brown was delivering a lecture in Accra as part of activities making the 20th anniversary of the NMC.
