Test conducted on a blood sample of a suspected Ebola patient at the Achimota Hospital has proved negative.
The suspected Ebola patient, a Nigerian went to the health facility on Sunday, September 14, 2014, to seek medical attention after battling with fever for a while.
Speaking on Citi FM Friday afternoon, the Administrator of the Achimota Hospital, Atindaana Nsobilla confirmed the result of the blood test which was carried out at the Noguchi Memorial Insitute.
He also indicated that the patient has been treated and discharged.
Ghana has so far recorded over 37 suspected Ebola cases with all proving negative.
Meanwhile, the government has put in stringent measures such as mandatory screening of passengers entering the country through the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) to prevent an outbreak of the Ebola disease into the country.
