Managing Director of Panasty Construction Limited, John Kweku Duah Nsiah has died after two gunmen on a motor bike shot him in the left leg at Bethlehem near Golf City, Tema.
His brother, Odikro at Kpando Gatsa ,Torgbui Tehn says Mr. Nsiah was shot Saturday evening around 7:00 pm after seeing off a colleague in his car.
According to him, his brother told the gunmen to pick any belonging in the car including money but refused and shot him after struggling with them.
In an angry mood, he told Adom News his brother was bleeding profusely and was rushed to Narh-Bita Hospital where he was subsequently referred to Tema General Hospital (TGH).
“One is not supposed to die when shot in the leg but would you have survived if you were made to bleed for 15 hours before a doctor could attend to you at TGH?” he rhetorically asked.
John kweku Nsiah was referred to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital from Tema General Hospital on Monday morning after his condition worsened.
“ There was no blood at their blood bank and had to rush to Police Hospital for blood but that did not stabilize him and had to be referred to Korle Bu where he died 5 hours later”, he revealed.
Meanwhile, Project Manager at Panasty Construction Limited, Eric Buckmanis yet to come to terms with the sad news and said it is a big blow to the future of the company.
Police within the Tema Metropolis have arrested two suspects already as investigation continues.
Mr. Nsiah is about 6th person to be killed by unknown gunmen within Tema and Ashaiman this year alone.
