Mr Robert Crentsil, the 2014 Central Region Best Farmer from Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District, has said farming is lucrative and profit oriented.
He therefore called on the youth in the country to actively venture into agriculture.
Mr Crentsil gave the advice when addressing the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District Assembly session.
He assured the youth in the area that his doors were opened for counseling and consultancy for the district to produce enough food for Ghanaians and for export.
Mr Crentsil 40, had been in active farming for the past 18 years, working on 312 acres of land and he is into cash crops farming, food crops, fruit trees, livestock and poultry with a workforce of 70 people consisting of 10 permanent and 60 casual labourers.
