Government has reviewed the Curfew hours imposed on Bankprugu Township with immediate effect.
A statement issued in Accra and signed by Mr Mark Owen Woyongo, the Minister of the Interior, on Friday said the curfew period which will be between 2200 hours to 04 hours each day, was reviewed by the Government on the advice of the Northern Regional Security Council.
The statement urges Chiefs, Opinion Leaders, the Youth and People of the area to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them and to use non-violent means to channel their energies into ensuring peace in the area.
There is a total ban on all persons in the respective areas from carrying arms, ammunition or any offensive weapon.
The statement noted that any individual found with arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.
