There is an acute water shortage at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle and its environs following the torrential rains which led to the collapse of a pedestrian walkway in the area.
The broken bridge over the Odawna River damaged a major pipeline which supplies water to Kanda, Adabraka, Paloma and its surrounding areas.
Survivors of the flood and fire are crying for potable water since their taps stop running after the floods.
Some residents were seen fetching water to their destinations though others expressed worry about the situation.
They have therefore called on government to, as a matter of urgency, fix the damaged pipelines.
