The Police Officer who resigned from the Police Service to campaign for Nana Akufo Addo has said, the President-elect’s victory in the just ended December polls is a victory for Ghana, as he’s convinced that the President elect is competent enough to ameliorate the hardship and suffering of Ghanaians.

Speaking to Kasapa News, Corporal Nicodemus explained that, his belief in the ability of Nana Akufo Addo to improve the living standards of Ghanaians informed his decision to resign and campaign for him ahead of the December Presidential election which he was optimistic of Nana Addo’s landslide victory.

The young Police officer was with the New Juaben Municipal Police Command in the Eastern region but resigned in January 2016 to support the Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party ahead of the presidential elections.

Corporal Dianatah Nicodemus reportedly tendered in his resignation letter late last year to the IGP, John Kudalor who in accordance with the Police Service Act, approved the resignation of the young law enforcer. After his resignation was granted by the IGP, Corporal Nicodemus joined the campaign activities of the NPP mostly in Ashanti Region and Northern regions.

He tells Kasapa News, he feels proud that,Nana Akufo Addo has been elected leader of this country adding that “with Nana Addo as President, poverty will be a thing of the past. ”

According to the ex-Police officer, he will make everything possible to ensure that, President elect, Nana Akufo Addo becomes successful in governing the country while keeping an eye on saboteurs of his government.

Corporal Nicodemus lamented to Kasapa News that, the Police administration failed to provide him all his entitlement after he resigned.

He narrated that, he was frustrated in diverse ways before getting half of what was due him.” They sabotaged me, they divided my entitlement into two and gave me half and when I asked why they told me they used what pertained last year meanwhile that wasn’t the law, so I saw it was political sabotage.”
