The Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service is investigating a case in which a nine-year old primary 3 pupil (Name withheld) has been subjected to inhumane treatment by his father.
According to police In Adansi-Asokwa in Adansi North District of the Ashanti region, the victim was accused of stealing GH¢10 belonging to his father.
A Samaritan, who spotted the boy with wounds of the severe beatings he received in the hands of the father, reported the matter to the police who are currently holding onto the suspect.
He spoke to mynewsgh.com on why he involved the police “It is not good for a child to steal, but this is not how to reprimand him. It could be that he was hungry”

You are an inhuman if u approve to this, though he didnt do right bu stealing but if u continue to beat him this way then u are rather training him to be an arm robber cos it will get to some time that he will realize even if he stel millions the only thing u will do to him is to beat him. There are so many ways to purnish a child but not beaten him to get this type of wounds like an arm robber. God have mercy on him
This boy should be beaten some more.If you begin stealing at age 9,what would you become by 18? I'm sure the father is tired of scolding him for him to turn a new leaf. He shouldnt be shielded by DOVVSU or anybody else for that matter
