President Nana Akufo-Addo says he will ensure justice is appropriately served and the murderers of the late Capt. Maxwell Mahama are brought to book.
According to the President, he's asked the law enforcement agencies to ensure the rule of law works, hence not to spare any person complicit in the murder of the deceased.
"We have to have a country where the rule of law works. I've been fighting for that all of my life and now that I'm in the chair, I've to make sure that there's meaning to it," he said.

When Dr. Nkrumah was asked about the corruption in his government he said that he believed that the only way to fight corruption is to create a strong public opinion against it. To this end, Akufo-Addo must ensure that kindergarten and primary school children across the country are taught anti-corruption poems and songs. An anti-corruption question must always appear in the BECE.
Arrest all involved including the on lookers. Ghanaians must cooperate with the Police throughout the country to arrest these cursed people for they are not fit to live among men. their hands are filled with blood and they will account for it. Above all, relocate the town because it is already cursed. if not their next generational curses children will be doing the same thing in the society. This is not Ghanaian culture so the disgrace they have brought to us in home and abroad is enough.
Really? Upset? Who has brought all this about? The culture of impunity you have sown over your years in opposition is what we are reaping now. Have you arrested and prosecuted the police officer who was brutalized right at the flagstaff house? Or you are picking and choosing? What do u expect if your goon go round beating people even after electoral victory and none has been brought to book. U cant be upset and stop pretending. No one sows corn and reaps rice. Chane has really come
just recent from Montie 3 to Delta 8 to whatever I dont waste my mental faculty on, this things would continue. The democracy we practicing plus our so called HON politicians would have room for these things, I am very sorry. I have a lovely brother now in 50s who loves friendship he has never stolen but anytime someone is killed somewhere I woke up to it due to his flirtations.
I am a serious advocate against instant justice and would try and stop it any where i find myself. But let us ask these question: 1: what has led to the situation of people taking the law into their hands. Our Justice systems are not working. The Judges, lawyers, and the systems under them are not functioning which gives people little options to address their grievances. Mr. President, please let your eyes be on our justice systems and the rest of your presidency will work without any stress. I have been a victim of these justice system twice and without patience, would have taken the law into my own hands.
Nana will keep on promising before he realises, his fours years will be over.
The unfortunate lynching of the Captain Mahama is a tragedy. What can we learn from this tragedy. The committee of inquiry should do a thorough job and come out suggestions that will subvert the occurrence of such heinous act in future.
HELLO MR PRESIDENT. I WILL LIKE YOU AND PARLIAMENT TO TAKE A CRITICAL LOOK AT INSTANT JUSTICE. THE DEATH OF THE BRAVE CAPTAIN MUST GIVE BIRTH TO A LAW GUARDING AGAINST INSTANT JUSTICE AND MOB ATTACKS ON PEOPLE SUSPECTED TO BE ARMED ROBBER OR ***barred word***. THE LAW SHOULD BE SUCH THAT 1.ANY ONE WHO CATCH A SUSPECTED ***barred word*** MUST HAND HIM/HER OVER TO THE POLICE AS WE ALL KNOW. 2.ANY MOB WHO BEAT A SUSPECT BEYOND RECOGNITION WILL FACE ONE YEAR JAIL TERM EACH. 3.BEATING RESULTING TO DEATH IS LIFE IMPRISONMENT WITH HARD LABOR FOR EACH MOB MEMBER. IF THE AUTHORITIES BEGINS TO JAIL PEOPLE FOR MOBBING IN THE EYES OF THE PUBLIC. THEN PEOPLE WILL BE EXTRA CAREFUL HOW THEY TREAT A SUSPECTED ROBBER OR ***barred word***.tHANKS
Mr President just burn the Owusu Bempah gave u. It's an idol. There is no power above the authority of Jesus Christ. Repent and go back to Jesus. That horn is a blood sucker.
Ghana is not worth dying for period! The politicians both NPP and NDC are all corrupt. The clergy have also supported the corruption of these corrupt politicians and civil servants to steal from the public purse to support their nefarious activities. Ghana today is lawless, corrupt, tribalistic and indiscipline in all aspects of life. This president always talks without acting. No one understands his failure to act. These politicians walk over alters every day but yet fail to do the right things. The NDC and NPP has pushed the nation to its demise. The laws of the land has broken down completely. Delta Force today has more power and jurisdiction than the police Force. The IGP has almost become a pastor hence his failure to act. The Invisible Forces has more power than the military. So what sort of country is this. The main political parties are partly to blame for this mayhem. The Ghanaian population are partly to blame to as they support whatever deviant behavior politicians demonstrate. Parliament is moribund and only interested in collecting bribes to anoint DCEs and Ministers of State. Folks , our State Institutions have collapsed.
