Deputy Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has urged the board of OneGhana movement not to give up on their quest in helping to compensate the June 3 fire victims.

The Member of Parliament for Ofoase-Ayirebi tasked the group to never lose focus.

“We will encourage the One Ghana movement to partner with the Accra metropolitan assembly, the office of the President and other agencies that initially promise the June 3 victims to engage with these offices so that government can fulfilled their promise’, he said.

The former radio Broadcaster said Ghanaians should find solution to improving the quality of their lives and improve the quality of a Ghanaian citizen and help stop flooding in the country.

Speakers were Supreme Court Justice, Justice Jones Dotse and Reverend Dr. Joyce Aryee who officially inaugurate the OneGhana Movement and Justice for June 3 Victims was held on Friday June 2, 2017 at British Council.

Rev. Dr. Joyce Aryee, who is the keynote speaker for the event also happens to be a board member of the Movement.

Justice for June 3 Victims

The organisation’s first project, dubbed the ‘J4J3-Campaign’, a campaign aimed at driving citizen responsibility and policy accountability through the pursuit of justice for victims of the Adabraka June 3 avoidable disaster, was launch today.

The campaign include legal aid for victims, and public advocacy on corporate and regulatory accountability.

“We believe that a strong and active civil society is essential to addressing the root causes of today’s most pressing societal, economic, and political challenges.

We believe that an informed and responsible citizenry is key to exacting governance accountability and progressive policy making which are critical for the socio-economic development of Ghana,” Joyce Aryee said.
