Three more students of Kumasi Academy (KUMACA) have been confirmed dead Tuesday morning, following the death of three others last week.
The three; two females and a male, died at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) hospital, the Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Cassandra Ampofo Twum has confirmed to Graphic Online.
This brings the number of students who have died from April this year to 13.
24 other students are currently on admission at the hospital.
Last week's death occurred within 48 hours, a day before the school celebrated its 60th anniversary on Saturday.
Meanwhile, blood samples of the three first-year male students who died last week have been sent to the Noguchi Memorial Research Institute to ascertain the cause of death.
