The Electoral Commission has extended the Voters Exhibition Exercise from Friday 25th September to Sunday 27th September, 2020.
This comes after complaints from the largest opposition flagbearer insisting that the voter’s register is fraught with irregularities, a situation that forced them to cut short their campaigns and address the issues.
However the EC in its statement said the Commission believes that the extension will allow even more Stakeholders to check and verify their voter registration details.
“This is instrumental for the achievement of a clean and credible Voters Register,” the statement said.
The Exhibition Exercise will therefore be closed on Sunday 27th September, 2020.
“We encourage the Public to take advantage of the extension by making time to verify their registration details,” the statement concluded.
