As part of his promise to ensure massive development in his constituency, Alexander Afenyo Kwamena Markin is keen on building projects that will beef up the health system and education for his people.

The Member of Parliament for Effutu Constituency over the weeks commissioned a new health directorate facility at Atekyedo and Osagyefo Kojo Beedu I Community Centre for his constituents.

He has, however, cut sod for work to commence on a community Library and ICT centre building at Kojo Beedu in Winneba.

He told indigenes during the commissioning that his aim is to bring development to the people of Winneba so as to ensure peace, enlightenment, and comfort.

Afenyo Markin was thankful to the traditional leaders for their support in ensuring that his dreams for the constituency are achieved.

He also launched a grant scheme ‘Boafo Twatsre’ to support market women.

The benevolent lawmaker urged the women to use the money “wisely” for their various business.

“I know how women suffer in taking care of their family, my mom used to credit things from people, and I know how difficult it was. Please use this money to support your business, pray over it and invest in your business, it is free money, you are not going to pay back.” He noted

Addressing the gathering, the assembly member for Kojo Beedu electoral area, Nana Asante described his MP as a “listening leader” who is Gid sent to the constituency.

"We realized that our community centre was in a deplorable state, I called on some opinion leaders to inform our MP, he gladly agreed to help us, today our dream has become a reality, the centre has been completed and ready for use.” He said

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Effutu municipality, John B. Nelson also expressed gratitude to Mr Afenyo Markin for not neglecting them.
