The trial of Inspector Ahmed Twumasi, a policeman charged with murder of his girlfriend, Victoria Dapaah commonly known as Maa Adwoa at Adum is set to begin at the High Court in Kumasi on November 13.
The court has already called for case management conference in the incident which occurred somewhere in April this year.
It's expected to call its first prosecution witness at the next sitting.
Already, Inspector Twumasi, who has been charged for allegedly murdering the supposed girlfriend has pleaded not guilty.
The court in what state prosecutors describe as attempts to have an expeditious trial in the interest of justice.
This comes after the prosecution had earlier expressed its readiness to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt that the accused person caused the death of the late Dapaah by shooting her multiple times at close range on 20 April, this year.
An autopsy report released by the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) has identified six bullet entry wounds and seven exit wounds on the body of the deceased.
The deceased died of hemorrhagic shock due to multiple gunshot injuries, according to the Pathologists who described the manner of death as “unnatural”.
