A fire outbreak on Thursday morning destroyed more than 15 structures at Circle Odawna in Accra.
The blaze, which erupted in the early hours, was swiftly contained by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), whose prompt response prevented the flames from reaching a nearby warehouse and over 200 other structures.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred close to the site of a recent fire that had also damaged several wooden structures in the area.
The GNFS is investigating the cause of the fire and has advised residents and business owners to adhere to fire safety measures to prevent further incidents in this highly vulnerable area.
