Nokia Introduces MiDCOM As Its Authorized Distributor In Ghana

Senior Nokia executives led by Managing Director, Nokia West and Central Africa Mr. Nick Imudia will officially introduce MiDCOM as its official Nokia authorized distributor for Ghana and its neighboring countries.

The cocktail event to introduce MiDCOM will attract over 150 guests including industry representatives and members of the business community, the Media, distributors and MiDCOM partners.

MiDCOM, Africa’s largest mobile phone sales, distribution and warranty claim network hopes to use this opportunity to consolidate its position as the driving force of the Nokia brand in Ghana.

According to Mr. Akhtar Khan, MiDCOM Assistant General Manager, MiDCOM would like to use its partnership with Nokia to define its intended role to the public as a provider of original Nokia phones at the most competitive prices, and strong partner to everyone in business including distributors, retailers and the walk-in individuals.

“Our strong presence in Africa has given us an advantage to grow and extend our services as Nokia’s authorized distributor in the country and neighboring counties for maximum customer satisfaction” he adds.

Mr. Nick Imudia, Managing Director, Nokia West and Central Africa said Nokia’s partnership with MiDCOM means that Ghanaian consumers can now be assured of genuine Nokia phones in the market and enjoy Nokia quality services, utilize the exciting applications and internet-based capabilities of the Nokia devices.

“The growing presence of MiDCOM in Africa propelled us to join hands with them to help accelerate the mobile phone business; it also offers good opportunity to create and distribute genuine Nokia phones and marks the opening up of Ghana as a market for the growing mobile phone industry.”

MiDCOM is the Telecommunication arm of Midland Group and is the exclusive distributor of Nokia Phones in 11 countries across East and West Africa.

Set up in 2004 in Rwanda, in the space of 8 years MiDCOM has grown to become one of the largest mobile phone distributors in Africa. With operations in Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana and sales coverage across Ethiopia, Togo, Cameroon, D. R. C. and Ivory Coast.

MiDCOM provides Nokia with the single biggest mobile phone distribution platform across the India, Middle-east and Africa Region.
