Both the Chairman and Secretary of the Kade Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), have lost their bid for re-election.

At the party's delegates' conference at Subi near Kade, Mr Samuel Ernest Kwaning, who until the elections was chairman polled only five votes in the election involving five others for the constituency chairmanship of the party.

The contest was won by Mr Mohammed Shido, who had 123 votes followed by Mr Martin Senyasu, 50 votes, Mr Ibrahim Fuseini, had 18, whiles Mr Joseph Kingsley Acquador and Mr Kwaning had five votes each.

Nana Evelyn Aboagye, who was for 12 years the Secretary, was shown the exit, when she only managed 17 votes.

The post of Secretary went to Mr Jacob Nyanful, who gained 131 votes followed by Mr George Sepenu, 53 votes and Mr Ebenezer Dagyawa eight votes.

Nana Effah Forson was elected the vice chairman with 105 votes with Mr Emmanuel Oppong Ampofo polling 81 votes and Malam Yusif Boham, 21 votes.

Mr Samuel Dankwa was elected propaganda secretary with 116 votes followed by Mr Francis Damenya Koffie, 81 votes and Mr Kwaku Asempa, 13 votes.

The position of deputy propaganda secretary went to Mr Jehu Ohena, who had 137 votes as against 67 by Mr Tetteh Ahulu.

Miss Edem Nipayede was elected as the women organizer, with 71 votes, Miss Helena Darkwa and Miss Comfort Abena Akafu polling 14 and eight votes respectively.

Mr Danso Kwame Atta won the position of organizer with 195 votes as against 87 by Mr Kwame Adubofour.

Later it was discovered that there was an error in the process because the votes of the contestants of the women's organizer position were not removed from the ballot box before using it for the organizer's poll.

But instead of Mr Adubofour challenging the verdict, he accepted it saying it was a family affair.

Mr Kwasi Missah became the new deputy treasurer, beating Prince J. K. Ohemeng by 129 votes to 79.

Those who were elected unopposed were Miss Patience Addo, Deputy Women's Organizer, Mr Evans Akpaku Gordon, deputy secretary, Miss Patience Effah, deputy women's Organizer and Mr Charles Antwi, youth organizer.

The new executive were sworn into office by the Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Baba Jamal, who is also a Deputy General Secretary of the NDC
