The Electoral Commission, EC is likely to be slapped with the charge of contempt if it continues with the on-going Biometric Voter Registration, BVR at Akuse.

This is because; it has been served with an injunction filed by the chiefs of the area to suspend the exercise.

A spokesman for the chief of Akuse, George Amanor, told radio Ghana that the contempt case will be heard at the High Court on the 18th of this month.

Mr. Amanor alleged that the Electoral Commission received the court notice on Wednesday.
