Petitioners in the election fraud case will continue to make their case at the Supreme Court today.

Dr. Mahmoud Bawumia who opened the case on behalf of the three petitioners claim there were several irregularities during the 2012 Presidential elections.

The 2012 runningmate of the NPP gave four basis of the petition to the Supreme Court during his evidence.

The economist mentioned, over-voting, Non use of Biometric Identification prior to voting, Duplicate serial numbers con pink sheets and lack o signatures of presiding officers.

He has told the Supreme Court judges that the irregularities affected the results declared in favour of President Mahama.

The nine-member Bench of Justices at the Supreme Court will sit every day, including weekends until the case is brought to an end.

The hearing will be televised at every sitting.

The Petitioners, the main opposition New Patriotic Party’s 2012 flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, his running mate Dr Mahmoud Bawumia and the party’s national Chairman Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey argue that the EC conspired with the incumbent party-National Democratic Congress-to steal the December 7 and 8 presidential elections for President John Mahama.

They therefore, are praying the Court to set aside and nullify the EC’s results which declared President Mahama as winner of the presidential poll.
