The Member of Parliament for North Tongu constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has underscored the need to empower the Ghanaian youth as part of the process of building a better nation.
The North Tongu lawmaker, posting on his official X page on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, stated that there is a need for the youth to be empowered as that will help them live a meaningful life and would motivate them to contribute their quota to building the nation.
Mr. Ablakwa said, "President Mahama has promised bigger empowerment schemes under the National Apprenticeship Programme, the 1 million Coders Initiative, laptops for student’s intervention, no admission Fees, Special Incentives for startups and a massive job creation agenda under his 24-hour- economy concept."
According to him, the flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama has what it takes to transform the fortunes of the youth of Ghana through innovative policies propounded by the NDC.
"If we don't empower the youth, we cannot build our nation," he said.
My beloved North Tongu’s Youth Empowerment Durbar was phenomenal!
Laptops for final year tertiary students;
Sewing machines for apprentices;
Hairdryers for apprentices;
Financial support for traders.
