The Electoral Commission of Ghana has disqualified Madam Akua Donkor's Replacement, Philip Appiah Kubi, popularly known as Roman Fada.
Roman Fada was nominated by the GFP to replace Madam Akua Donkor following her death two weeks ago and subsequently submitted his forms to the EC.
However, in a statement issued after an IPAC meeting, the Commission stated that after reviewing the nomination papers, GFP's new candidate "did not meet the nomination requirements and has therefore been disqualified".
Nonetheless, the EC says "positions on the Presidential Ballot Paper will remain the same".
Meanwhile, the EC has informed the Political Parties that the Commission will resume printing of Presidential Ballot Papers which was suspended following the death of Madam Akua Donkor.
